Groupie

L.A. Girl Rock Star collection's "Groupie" is a beeeeautiful purple glitter polish.  I used 2 thick coats here, and the formula is great.

In the bottle you can see some orange and gold flecks, but they are not really visible on the nail.  You mostly see a range on pink to dark purple.  So pretty!

stamped

Bonjour mon ami's ; )

I've been seeing so many amah-zing  stamped nails lately.  I haven't stamped for a long time, but it was so fun to try it again!  I used to stamp a lot when I had gel nails on.

I used 3 coats of OPI's Skull and Glossbones, a lovely pale grey cream from their Pirates edition.  And just Konad's white and their nail plate M71 for the stamping.  So purdy!

Do you guys stamp?

Revlon Facets of Fuschia

I have been seeing Revlon's Facets of Fuschia all over the intranet : ) lately, and I am lah-hoving it.  So I was beyond excited to finally find it today.  I came straight home (ok, a quick stop at Starbucks for a chai latte first, Mmmmm) and swatched it for you loverly people.

My camera kinda flipped out in these pics, so they are all glowy, but I wanted to show how purdy all the layers of glitter are!  This is 3 coats of Facets with a coat of SV to make it extra shiny and smoooooth.

Formula was ok, streaky and not tons of glitter on the first layer, but it all evened out by the third layer.  Fun glittery goodness in a black jelly!

An old favorite of mine is L'oreal Mango Get-em.  I bought it a few years ago and have worn it many-a-time : )  There is VNL in this photo, but in real life it's not noticable.

And this is LA Girls Color Addicts 'Extreme'.  I think it's a funny name for it cuz this is def not extreme to me, I think it's a very soft and romantic way to do a blue!

pink jelly sandwich

S'up lovelies?

Just showing a mani I had on yesturday, Revlon's Sheer Blossom (this polish I've had around for years now) followed with a layer of NYX Girls Prismatic Gold and another coat of Sheer Blossom on top.  Followed by SV.  I think next time I'll do a couple more coats of glitter to make it even more sparkly.

Hiya friends, I've got a pretty little blue mani today, and I also topped it off with a little glitta : )

It's Wet and Wild again, Blue Me Away.  For $2 you just can't go wrong.  Well, you can, but you know what I mean : )

So this Klean Color glitter (Afternoon Picnic) is fabulous, but the macro shot has made the big hex glitter look a little wonky, it looks much smoother in real life.  Oh and I also put a little NYX Girls Prismatic Gold glitter on a bit of the tips as well.  I love how bright and fun this is.

The Wonder Yellows, and Holo Chrome

Wet and Wild was a bday gift from a friend.  I wouldn't normally pick this kind of color for myself, but that's what I love about having others pick a polish for me, cuz I actually really love this!

I did 3 thin coats, and it could have used a 4th, there is still some VNL.

This is 3 coats of Klean Color's Holo Chrome.  This makes a great layering polish, but for this swatch I just did it on it's own.

Close up of the fun glitter and sparkles!

mauve

I've really been wanting to buy Royal Cloak by Revlon, but haven't seen it in my local drugstore yet.  So I took an Avon 'luxe lavender' that I never really loved, and added some black, a shimmery purple and a little red and this color is what I ended up with.  Afterwards I put a coat of Colada Fizz by Revlon overtop.

So if I do come across Royal Cloak I will still pick it up, but this will do me for now!

Hello hello : )
Today, I have a franken to share with you guys, it's a black jelly holo, well... holo-ish : ) It definately doesn't have the rainbow, but I like it!
I used 1/2 a bottle of clear, and about 1/8 of a bottle of Revlon Blackest Black, and then added some holo glitter that my husband brought me home from work! (He's an artist)

I did 2 coats, probs could have gotten away with 1. And then added a coat of SV.
I took a picture in the sunlight so you could see that sometimes you can see the rainbow colors of the holo, and sometimes it just looks like silver glitter in the black jelly.

What do you guys think of it?
I'm new at this blogging thing, and am enjoying it sooo much, I'd love to get some feedback : )

Revlon and Klean Color unites

For this mani, I started with a clear base of course!  Even though I always use a base coat, I still have some staining on my natural nails.  Then I did 2 coats of Revlon's Cherries in the Snow.  I added just 1 coat of Klean Color's Black Chunky Holo.

I just bought (for the first time ever!) Seche Vite top coat.  I've used it a few times now and absolutely loooove it!  I put a medium thick coat on my wet nails and it makes them touchable in about 60 seconds.  It's faaaabulous!  My only trouble was with this mani, and I'm wondering if it's the Klean color polish?  Does anyone have this problem?  I didn't touch it for about 10 mins and when I did the whole mani just slid right off my nail!  What the heck?

So even though I didn't get to kept this mani on, I love looking at the photos!  I'll re-create it again and maybe skip the Seche Vite this time!

A franken

I love Deborah Lippman's candy shop sooooo much I can't stand it!  So until I can get my hands and nails on a bottle of my own, I've frankened my own!  I realized afterwards that I need mucho more glitter.

For this franken I used Revlon's Cherries in the Snow, which is a super deep red, and I mixed just a few drops into 1/2 bottle of clear to make a jelly.  Jellies are my faaaave!  And then I added Wet and Wilds Party of 5 glitter and Nyx girls carnival glitter, oh and some Milani glitter also.  I love the squishy feel to it, but I'm gonna haves to throw some more glitter in there.  I. can't. get. enough. glitter  : )
