Gradient Mani

Hello Darlin's

After seeing so many gradients around lately, I really wanted to give it a try.  Sami had a great tutorial on her blog.

I used Sinful Colors Hazard which is the beautiful creamy orange, and Billie Electric Fuschia for my gradient.  I am super happy with the results, but I'll know to add way more polish to the sponge the next time I try it.  It was a little sparse around my cuticles.  I love the shimmer in the Billie polish, it felt so unexpected next to the cream.

Twinsie Tuesday Holo Polish

Twinsie Tuesday is here again and this week we are showing you guys a holo mani.  I don't actually have a 'true' holo that shows the rainbow.  I do have a couple polishes that have a bit of a holo effect.

I chose Ultimate Holiday by China Glaze.  It was in one of my Nory swaps!  Thanks girl!  I used 2 coats and it was super easy to apply.  First 2 pics are with top coat, last 2 are without.

Check out what the other Twinsie's are rocking this week:

Feather Water Decals

Hiya Friends

Today I have some super cute feather water decals from KKCenterHK.  Feather design found here.  I've never tried water decals before but they were so easy to apply.  You just soak them in water for a few seconds, the same way you would to put on a fake tattoo.  I used tweezers to take them off the backing and then applied them to my nail.  I added a top coat and voila!

Sticks and Stones by Cover Bands Lacquers

Eeeeeeee!  I'm so excited to have Sticks and Stones by Cover Bands Lacquers on my nails today!  The lovely Nory sent it to me in our swap this month and I looooove it.  It is so fun to look at.

My base coat is Orly Jealous, Much? from the Cool Romance Collection.  I love this soft cream green.  The first coat was a little watery and streaky, but the second smoothed it all out nicely.

I used one coat of Sticks and Stones, it was pretty easy to apply, although I did have to coax a few of those large hex's around the nail.  A generous coat of SV smoothed most of it out.

Here is Jealous Much? on it's own.  I know I will be wearing this color a lot this Spring season.

Twinsie Tuesday Ombre Nails

Twinsie Tuesday Playas!!

This week we are rocking "Ombre" nails.  I see so many things wrong with my choice of colors, but I was really in the mood for browns/greys and my selection isn't huge.

On my ring finger I have on OPI Over the Taupe.  On my middle finger I have a NYC, but I can't find the name of it.  Anyone happen to recognize?  Ring finger is OPI Did you 'ear about Van Gogh.  And pinky is OPI Skull and Glossbones.

Check out the rest of the Twinsie Tuesday girls to see what their Ombre manis look like!

OPI Vampsterdam, Holland Collection

I have OPI Vampsterdam from the Holland Collection to show you today.  Nory sent me this and I loooove it.  The formula was great, 2 easy coats.  It has a bit of a metallic feel, so there are a few brush strokes visible.  I wore this for 4 days, and didn't have one single chip!  A little tip wear, but that was it.  I love OPI's for that.

This burgundy brown has a look of shimmer to it, when you look close up at the bottle you see streaks of the tinest silver shimmer I've ever seen, looks like silver dust.  So pretty.

Do you have any colors from the Holland collection?

Claire's Candy Shop

Hello Luvlies...

I passed up Claire's Candy Shop a few times lately, wondering if I was over the look.  But the other day, I just had to pick it up, and I'm glad I did.  This polish is sooo jam packed with glitter it's nuts!

A definate dupe to Deborah Lippman (even the name, which is weird).  I love the milky pink base so much, that I wish I could find it without the glitter!

Do you guys own Candy Shop?  DL or Claires?!

Twinsie Tuesday Favorite Polish

I love Tuesdays!  And they seem to roll around so quickly.

This week's Twinsie Tuesday edition is our favorite polishes!!  Yay!  I knew right away what polish I'd use, and that is Orly Fowl Play.  Nory sent it to me and it quickly became my fave.  Of all time.

Isn't it just soooo fabulous?  I cannot get enough I tell you.  There is just so much going on in this polish that I can literally stare at it for days.

Glitter Me Pink

Holla!

Whilst shopping for my swap buddy Nory, I came across this beautiful pink jelly polish with glitters and flakies.  Those are my 3 favorite things right there!  It's called Glitter Me Pink by ACO.

I swatched it on it's own, but it was very sheer, so I used a base coat of Essie Secret Story, which is a pretty jelly pink as well.  And I used 3 coats Glitter Me Pink over top.  The glitter looks dense in the bottle, but was sparse enough that I needed 3 coats to get the look I wanted.

Twinsie Tuesday, Funky French

We are swatching Funky French's for this edition of Twinsie Tuesday!   I was pretty excited about this one!

I did a chevron french using Essie Jamaica Me Crazy as my base, and Sinful Colors Out of This World for the tip.  I free handed the chevron, so it is a little wonky.  I was going for a bit of a sheer look on the tips, but ended up more opaque than others.  Oh well right?!!

Melted Sprinkles

I've got a super cool franken to show you today, made by my lovely friend Nory from Fierce Nails and Makeup.  She sent it to me in one of our swaps and I squealed out loud when I unwrapped it!  They are available for sale on her blog, go check them all out, they are fabulous!

Melted Sprinkles has small pink and blue glitter mixed with holo glitter of varying sizes in a white base.  It totally makes me think of cupcakes and sprinkles!  Application was a breeze, 2 coats and it was fully opaque.  I used 2 coats of Seche Vite to make it perfectly smooth.  Oh and it dried super quick too!

And look at this purdy bottle shot!
